Rosemount™ Flame Simulator
The Rosemount Flame Simulator is available in three models to complement the self-testing capabilities of all Rosemount 975 Flame Detectors. The flame simulator emits UV and/or IR radiation in a unique pattern recognizable as fire by a Rosemount Flame Detector. This allows the flame detector to be tested under “real” fire conditions without the associated risks of an actual open flame. By simulating a fire that triggers the flame detector outputs, the flame simulator verifies the correct operation of the flame detector, performs an essential end-to-end loop test and verifies window lens cleanliness. The simulator allows remote testing of flame detectors, often located in difficult to access and/or classified hazardous areas (Zones 1 & 2).
